Chudleigh Swimming Pool

The pool has now closed for the winter and will re-open in May 2009.  Here's hoping for better weather next year.

Pool Shelter

Those of you who used the pool during the second half of July and August will have seen our lovely new shelter.  Unbelievably, it was raised and commissioned in one day.  It is a shame that it has mainly been used to provide shelter from the rain, rather than the sun, but there is always next year.

We are continuing to fund raise to cover the remaining cost, over and above the funds raised annually to subsidise the normal pool running costs.  So if you see the committee out and about the town, please give generously!

Below are the details for the 2008 season.  These will be reviewed for 2009.  If you have any thoughts of you own, then please email us.................

Water temperature is 28 deg C (82.5 deg F).

The 2008 programme is now available and can be accessed below.  Leaflets are being distributed around the town, but if you don't get one, just pop down to the pool when its open, for your personal copy.

For the Swim and Sunbathe afternoon sessions, please bear in mind that if it is busy or if staff numbers are down, then we reserve the right to run two sessions of 1.5 hrs each instead in place of the 3 hr session.

Private hires are always very popular and particularly good for children's parties.

The disabled hoist installed in 2002 has worked well and with the disabled changing room has made the pool very disabled friendly.

The pool kiosk is manned by volunteers whose children can swim free when they are on duty so, if you have some spare time we could certainly do with your help. Email ccp@chudleighpool.org.uk if you are interested.  The rota is now available on line and is accessed HERE
If kiosk duty isn't your thing, then there's weeding, sweeping, hedge cutting, painting.......... I could go on!
